    agree,

That way u dont need to forget to turn it off when the key is removed.
Fed the power from under the bonnet via the fuse panel.

I can't see any exposed terminals

How do you source power from the drivers under dash fuse box? I can't seem to find any exposed terminals.
Do I need to wire into an existing plug or splice into a wire?
    How did others do it?

    1. You can trace the wires from the ignition switch, find the one with accessory power and tap in. Solder the connection and fit a fuse.
    2. You can find an accessory circuit fuse and fit a fuse tap, see pic, available from Jaycar $6.95.
    3. You can read the wiring diagram in RAVE find a suitable wire and tap in.

If you don't have a test light or multi meter I suggest you have one on hand before proceeding.

Look at the fuse panel under the dash. There's a couple of connectors there.
Ones live the other switched power.
