    Occassional, Substancial Turbo Lag

    Hey,

    I've had my Disco for about 8 months now. I have gotten used to the delay for turbo to kick in before 2000rpm, but recently it has gotten worse. It happens only occasionally, but can sometimes take about 2-3 seconds to kick in. Anyone heard or have experienced this before and can help me out on whats going on?

    It could be a number of things, but start with the following:

    Air filter
    Air intake pipe
    MAF sensor
    Fuel pump

    Just changed over air filter (after experiencing the issue).

    What should I be looking for when looking at the others?

    Could well be the intercooler hoses.
    Quite a common issue,they de-laminate and obstruct airflow.
    Silicone hoses to replace the 3 required will cost you around $250.

    waste gate actuator sticking will also provide the same.
