LOLI also have the most annoying buzz/low frequency rattle from l/h side of the dash.
Has taken ages to find it but finally narrowed it down to the bloody VIN plate that is screwed onto the side of the dash facing the windscreen. SHMBO held it tight against the dash while I was driving and the noise went away.
Impossible to get at to either tighten the screws or remove it completely without taking the windscreen out so....a piece of strategically placed rag now damps the noise.
Don't really wish to have a windscreen replacement but if I do in the near future - I'll be asking O'briens to remove the plate at the first opportunity!!

So away I went on a routine drive last weekend and the rattle was preaty obvious on backing out of my steep drive. "Must get under and sort it" I thought.

I used the air con on the way as it was nudging 30 degrees and it worked faultlessly. On the way back, I turned the air con on again and as the blower fan wound up to near max, it let out a rumbling noise with a vibration you could feel. Bloody great I though.

This bit of foam was throwing the impellor out of ballance and hence causing said noise/vibration. Put it all back together and it works again as it should. I thought I was in for untold expense. So I guess the moral of the story is no matter what it is and no matter how technically challenged you are, have a go at fixing it first, it has saved me a bomb in the past.
