isnt 3 bongs when offroad height is lowered?
Noticed over the last week or so, that Dad's TD5 D2a will often give 3 chimes while driving, usually when braking. No warning lamps show when it happens.
Is this the ABS on the way out? Tests ok with the ignition on startup.
SLS and ACE not fitted either.

SLS is required for that, isn't it?

I get three chimes occasionally on start up and the good book indicates it is the ABS self check and nothing to worry about, however, I've not had it on the go.
Cheers,
Peter.
Yeah, that's the worry.
Everything tests ok on startup, but even after driving for 50 km or so it still bongs on intermittently.
Just a thought from left-field. It's not the door ajar warning, by any chance?
If there is a sus door switch, it might be registering as the door been open.
Further testing has it limited to pressing on the brake pedal.
Short successive braking sessions around town are ok, but after driving a stretch of about 500m it will give another warning when you brake.
