    Across australia

I made safely across Oz first day Perth to Eucla stay overnight in the budget motel $40 second day Eucla to Tilpa overnight at pub $ 30 this is a great drive along the Darling wich is in flood and rising the pub will proably be under water by now. From here on I had problems getting stuck at Brewarrina with water over the road and after crossing this the road was closed at Walget more floods. I had to backtrack south through Naromine and up the Newell Hwy a 600 k detour. I met a couple of disco owners at Gondawindi who noticed my WA plated bug swatter. I wiped out a locust plague in SA. A great trip I have a nice video of the road from Tilpa to Louth. After spending 18 hours at the wheel i could jump out of the disco and ride my pushy. Try doing that in a HJZ75 or later. I averaged around 12 litres per 100 ks at 120 kph and around 10 litres per 100ks at 105 kph.
On the way home I will head down through Victoria sthe roads will be flodded until late january out west NSW and Qld.

Couldn't agree more about the comfort a D2 offers. We've had both of the major japs in the past and they just don't come close in the comfort stakes let alone the economy (4.2 diesel pootrool about 17-18l/100k without a camper, LC a bit worse). We drive Vic to Brisbane at least twice a year and its always a dream in the Disco, easy to drive and seats that keep you comfy.... gotta love it!

Perth to Eucla in a day is not bad going.

I'm usually pretty happy if I get to Eucla from Kalgoorlie in a day.
    Cheers .........

You think disco seats are good, you want to sit in a Rangie!!
Like a mobile lounge room with a reallife driving game playing on the "bigscreen" in front of you!
