diagnostic trouble code opinions
Hi everyone,
I plugged the Launch scan tool into the TD5. These are the codes that came back current after clearing them.
ENGINE.
Manifold pressure cicuit fault. Logged low.
Inlet air temp circuit fault. Logged low.
Multiplex input circuit fault. Logged low.
1% reference voltage fault. Logged low.
Driver demand 3 fault. Logged low.
Ambient pressure circuit fault. Logged low.
ABS.
Pump failure 1 (monitor line)
pump failure 3 (Pump sticking)
Shuttle vale switch sticking.
Any ideas whats causing these codes. The scan tool doesnt give me code numbers only the description above.
Thanks. Michael.

Start by checking all connections and plugs at the sensors and ECU, Earth ponts and Battery terminals.
Likely oil in the ECU Plug
Contact Cleaner or "electro clean" etc is good for the plugs and I use a bit of Lanolin at all my Earth terminals and Battery terminals.
Remember that your scan tool is advising you of components associated with the fault and not necessarily the cause of the fault.
If you have ever (or an owner before you) started and run the vehicle for any period of time with these plugs off the faults will be logged. The vehicle will go back to normal with the plugs refitted however the fault log will remain until cleared.
The ABS stuff is separate with the SLABS ECU so I reckon Earths are great place to start.
Cheers

Did the battery ever run flat? You get a lot of failure codes when a battery runs flat.
