Came out this morning and had a similar problem. Changed the remote battery without joy. My drivers window regulator arm is busted and the drivers door lock as well, so using the key was out of the question. The regulator arm ended up being the saviour as it meant I have a small gap open in the drivers window through which I attempted to reach the manual unlock on the console. Whilst unsuccessful in actually getting enough purchase on the switch, my buggering around triggered the alarm pressure sensors and brought her out of sleep and the remote worked fine after that.

Incorrect. 12.7 volts is what a fully charged battery should be.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

If you ever get a total lockout due to a flat battery,ie the key wont even unlock the door. You need to get jumper leads or a battery charger with a supply volts function and hook the posative to the posative on the starter motor and neg on chassis to open it up
    Ask me I know
