HI all
I have some 1/2 worn wrangler Muddies. 31.7" when new. probebly just 31 now. I am heading up the Pebbly beach on the week end and was going to fit these tyres on my spare rims. would they fit without doing the 2 inch lift?
cheers
Matt

In goes the lift then.
I have 265/75R-16 all round without a lift kit and only the newer of the tyres (front left) rubs ever so slightly on the trailing arm. I did get a little bit of indication when flexing considerably on the Mundaring Powerlines (back right only) but other than that no problems.
Cheers,
Peter.

I fitted my 265/75 R16 BFG mud terrains to my D2a with no lift the other weekend without a major issue.
The tyres are nearly new (maybe 1mm wear) and I have just the standard D2a bumper (earlier D2 standard bumpers may cause more rubbing).
I do have P38a 16X8 inch rims which may be a slightly different offset to the standard D2 rims.
I flexed the vehicle to its maximum articulation and the front tyre just rubbed on the plastic inner lining of the front mud guard. When I reversed in this configuration, the tyre lugs did start to catch a join in the front mudguard plastic inner lining. That was the only issue I found. I wouldn't have an issue puting them on again before the 50mm lift goes in, if i have to.
The 50mm lift will go in as soon as i get a chance.![]()
