I had this line done separatly by a hydraulic shop. Its a little fiddley to change and reach but it could be done.
Hi all,
My 2004 TD5 disco developed a major leak from a fuel line on the right hand side of the engine ( solid line at both ends and flex in the middle.( please excuse my ignorance as i have only had experience on the TDI 300, so I am usure on the correct plumbing terms for the TD5).
I am told by the repairer that you can not get this line sparately and have to buy the fuel block as well. Is this correct and how long would the job take.
The mechanic doing the job doesnt really inspire any confidence ( I had no choice as this where NRMA dumped me !!)
Any information, diagrams of the fuel system and advice would be greatly appreciated .
Cheers

The pipe/hose (which is only on the TD5 from 2002 onwards) comes with the fuel block assembly. Microcat does not list the hose as a separate part. Might be worth ringing one of the parts suppliers such as Karcraft to see if it is available. Failing that you, will eventually need to replace the fuel block when it starts to leak through its diaphram, replace it all now. The front connection is quite difficult to get at - someone on here will know the trick/tool required.
Cheers
Pipe is now available seperately over here, surely someone "over there" stocks it.

I had the same problem on mine with a fuel seep, then it just went. The diesel affected the alternator, so about 3 to 4 weeks later, no charge; new alternator required. The pipe was that poor a condition that after removal, I went to flex it and it snapped cleanly, just after the fitting to the front of the block. Good to see you can now get just the hose, as I have a good regulator as a spare.
To replace the hose only, remove the battery box (ECU, jack etc) to get to the front connector easily. 14mm spanner can then get onto it. The back connector should be as easy as anything.
The fuel regulator is a rrpita.
Mine also developed a lovely diesel fountain after repairing the regulator and faced with having to remove the inlet manifold to replace it deceided to cut it off in situ. A pair of good side cutters ate through the soft crimp fitting on both hose ends, a 1 metre section of high pressure injector hose and two good quality jubilee clips from Repco set me back $44 (only needed 20cm of hose but they sell by the metre). All fitted up now and no longer leaking, will also wrap in silver foil to try and reflect the radiant heat from the engine to stop it hardening up again.
