			Disco 2 Heads and Coolant

					Hi All
I was under my Disco 2 a few minutes ago and I noticed that there is coolant dripping from the rear of the engine between the block and the head, it is only on the left side head. I also noticed that there is alot of water moving around in the expansion bottle.
Is this a sure sign of head gasket failure? If it is head gasket failure, is it normally only the gasket that fails or is it that the head or the block that is cracked.
If it is only the gasket, will I need to replace both the head gaskets?
The head on the left looks cleaner than the on on the right, so it must have been removed at some stage, I also supect that old head bolts may have been used.
It is not the throttel body heater, I checked that.

Head gasket I'd say sorry mate, answers to your other questions I think will only be answered when u crack the motor & if I were you, I'd definitly be doin both sides for sure. that way the valley cover only has to come off once because the opposing bank is destined to let go

					Typical high k V8 there.
It sounds as though it's an external leak which is good. Yep, as DB said, time for your heads to be done. Get them done properly ( as in valley covers, machined etc ) and it will last for years to come.
Expensive, but worth it.
