Smile Finally finished my Drawers, Dual Battery, and fridge slide setup.

Its taken a while to work out exactly what I wanted and how to best achieve it but this is what I came up with. Our main focus is camping so I have the battery in the back along with the draws.

I've also had our van lifted and P38 wheels put on it as well so the spares are interchangable. It was a bit of mucking aroung getting hubs sorted but worth it in the end.

Now we just need to find time to get out and use it all.

Looks fantastic but I have to ask, can you reach the bottom of the fridge or do you have to use a step? My wife wouldn't have a hope of reaching the fridge at that height without a "boost" haha I know drop slides are exxy but if I couldn't afford one of them I would have the fridge at floor level.

    Cheers.

PS Good idea for swapping the caravan hubs. I would definitely do the same if doing decent trips with trailer/van.

Yeah you have to use the step. I may add drop slides in the future but as you say they are a bit on the expensive side. Will live with it how it is for a while and see how it goes. I put the draws under it because I wanted to make sure I used all the space in the rear. Seemed a waste to build it and be left with several square foot of unusabe space.

What size fridge fits on the slide?

My 40ltr Engel fits and opens when the slide is extended no problem. I have an 80ltr generic brand I bought off ebay as well. This one fits but has to be removed to open. I'm not concerned as this one spends most of its life in the van anyway. I built the slide with the 40ltr in mind but made sure it would take the 80ltr if needed.

I have a slide inside a box for the fridge. This allows me to pack stuff OVER the fridge whilst still allowing access to it. This also means that the fridge is at FLOOR level.

My question then is..... Why not have the drawers ABOVE the fridge.... Even MORE useable space. Best of both worlds.

    Great setup though, congrats
