Do Discovery 3 ones fit and work?
I have done a search and read a few threads and come to the conclusion that people seem to have had issues in the past with the quality of the genuine Land Rover lock nut key.
I'm currently wanting a full set of 5 lock nuts to suit my 2003 Land Rover Discovery HSE TD5. Is there an aftermarket alternative brand available that anyone would recommend instead?

most guys ditch them, last thing you need is for them to fail trying to change a tyre in the middle of no where
Dont bother...
Lock nuts are a "feel good" item only...
Took me less than 5 seconds to remove the lock nut on my disco when the 'key' shattered..
25mm x 10 point socket and a breaker bar and it was off...
They are more trouble than they are worth and wont stop anyone.
I've ditched mine too & just put them on the spare.
When i had new tyres, a couple of mine had been overtightened when a previous owner had tyres rotated. Took the tyre company a fair effort to remove them, so i have just replaced them with normal. Don't want the hassle if locking nuts get stuck on and i need to change a wheel somewhere remote.
Like already said above .... I threw them away and bought 4x more std wheel nuts to replace them. I left the lock-nut on the spare though.
And besides ... who's gonna steal your wheels ? ... A commodore owner ?![]()

Going ... going ... almost gone ... GONE !! ... 2004 D2a Td5 Auto "Classic Country" Vienna Green

I think commodore owners would have a go.And besides ... who's gonna steal your wheels ? ... A commodore owner ?![]()
I threw mine in the bin some time back.... all of them including the spare. It's the best place for them. You would have to pretty hard up to want to steel them but hey... they also drive commodores......go figure.

throw them out and replace with a standard wheel nut.
Well, with so many people throwing them out - if anyone wants to sell them to me instead of throwing them away, PM me!
