There is another recent thread on the forums about using batteries from Caterpillar suppliers. Caterpillar (CAT) AGM...The price seems to be good and it comes with some good recommendations.

worried about calling your mechanic? WTF?
As far as batteries go, spend as much or as little as you like.
Take a look in owners manual and it will probably say a 550cca one will do.
If you are really stuck call the RAA or similar they come to you and give a 24 months warranty and install it.
Most people will say which ever one they bought is best but in the end, its how they are treated, do not over charge, do not over heat, do not run dry and do not run flat. Oh and cold winters do reduce their life span also.
Too confusing, I agree so just buy one that fits, has correct polarity or call your mechanic and see what he recommends. Probably the one he sells though. They all work so long as they have enough CCA/ cold cranking amps.
Alternatively, research it for 2 weeks, get everyones experience and than still get something different because you find the black one from battery world or Yuasa is for sale up the road and fits.
You hear what I am saying?![]()
Ok sounds good yeh just meant didn't want to call the specialist because don't want a genuine one, something a touch cheaper just want something I'll get a year or two out of.but it's strange went to give it a jump and the battery indicator thing still has a nice green centre.so really not sure now, will take it out and to the servo for a charge.pain have no car.hoping it's not starter
Buy a charger!
If the green indicator is normal, are you sure it's not just dirty/corroded battery leads?
Where are you located landcol?
