Td5 Power loss
Hi all,
i have a 2002 land rover disco 2 td5 and it recently blew up the turbo, the centre shaft broke in half causing it to suck alot of oil through the turbo seals and in through the intake!
I have replaced the turbo with a genuine one with new gaskets etc, i had the vehicle running for some time to clear the oil from the exhaust so that i didnt get pulled over by the police as it was alot!!
now the problem that i have is that is it really sluggish if u were to put ur foot to the floor it will take forever for the revs to pick up and acutally go somewhere now i have replaced the following items thinking that it would fix them as they are common problems,
.air flow meter
.had the intercooler cleaned
. replace the injector harness
. cheecked the intercooler pipes for delamination
when i drive the vehicle it puts out some white smoke under load which i am figuring that is reminace of the oil in the exhaust still, i have hooked a boost gauge up to it and its getting about 9 psi of boost now i have disconnected the egr so i could eliminate that as a factor and still the same. The strange thing is i was driving it today and before i parked the vehicle up it actually went like a new td5 should, i let the vehicle sit for a few hours and took it for another drive and it was still gutless.
if anyone could help that would be awesome. i am all out of ideas and its really annoying not knowing whats going on.
Thanks for ur time!

9psi is incorrect... Should be 14-18psi
Check your boost modulator and wastegate adjustments
