Question Thread typre into rear air bag suspension

Anyone know what the thread is into the top of the rear air bag suspension into a D2? I'm trying to get a fitting that will thread into it, and ideally don't want to remove the airbag to take it into the shop to match it up.

    What steve said.

M8 For sure. just made a set of manual inflators from Brass truck Valves, drill it out a little and tap it with an M8 Tap. works a treat.

    Cheers

    They are a Voss 203 M8 thread.

Voss 203 catalogue. They are the first connector in the groups part number 5203110000.
    http://www.voss.de/ces_daten/downloads/automotive/katalog_203.pdf

Voss isn't widely used here unless it's in a European OEM. They can be replaced with pressfit connectors however it can require a tap and re thread of the socket as matching pressfit connector metric threads can be just as hard to find.
We use Voss 232 in all Benz air suspension and 240 in fuel.

hmm, so you can get to the brass screw-in connector in situ? amazing in itself.

    two chassis supports,
    two small clips removed,
    a 90deg twist,
and the bags out 90 secs at most after airline removal

Pretty much. Hardest exercise I had last weekend doing the LH bag on the D2 was trying to remember where I put the jack out of the Rangie as my second jack.
There's no way you can get a spanner or even fingers in there to remove either a Voss or pressfit connector without removing the two top clips and dropping the bag anyway so really I dont know why everyone wants to change the fittings over unless you are installing larger size hoses. Much like air suspension as a whole, it's probably a lack of understanding that give it the premature bad reputation it has.

The other day one of the air lines on my vehicle had a hole in it, so the left side airbag was flat. I have an emergency inflation kit installed into the system, so I can use my tire inflator to inflate the air bags. Issue was that with a hole in the line this was no help.

My solution now therefore is to have two short stem inflation fittings that I can fit to the air bag if such an incident was to occur again. So I could disconnect the air pump to prevent it continually running, remove the airlines from the bags, fit these, pump it up to a pressure and get home.
I have two EAS Schrader Valves from Hard Range that I'll use, and then I just need to get these so that I can fit them into the air bag.
Problem is that in order to match the thread type I would need to remove the air bag and take it in, but that would mean the vehicle would obviously be out of action to get me there, hence why I asked on here to see if anyone knew.

    hmm ok, that makes sense,,
all I did was add 300mm of line (from the bag)with a double ended push-in connector.
not only makes changing bags a breeze, if the compressor or lines play up I can break the line and add a schrader,,
and its all rebuildable to standard afterwoods.
