    Driver side door, will unlock just not with the central locking.

    Hello,

    Not too sure if this is covered off elsewhere but my drivers side door isnt unlocking ! (from what i have read it happens alot). My central locking has been working PERFECT up until a few days ago and then the drivers door stays locked. key unlock works fine door handle on inside wors fine to unlock just not the key unlock

    Does anyone know of the reason / solution or is it in the cases i have read a spring or a 3rd button press to fix ?

    Hi Tony
    I think you'll find the most likely culprit is the door latch/motor which is unfortunately an integral unit. I.e: you have to replace whole thing.

    I've had about two (or maybe three?) go on mine - from memory they're about $280 fitted - but don't quote me and that last one was about a year ago on the passenger side.

    I thought it too expensive until winter arrived and my passenger started getting ticked off with getting soaked while I got in and 'levered' the door open from the inside - oops!

    Have you tried an extra unlock???
    I have a lazy back door that needs a third press,ie 1 for drivers door,2nd for the rest,3rd to unlock the lazy one.
    Been like that all the time I have owned it,6 years.
