    ROVERPARTS - Rant... Annoying!

Well, I thought I'd save myself a few bucks, probably about $10, and order a new serpentine belt through ROVERPARTS instead of through the dealership.

I bypassed their homepage by googling the part number and entering into the product directly, adding to the cart, paying for it and then WHAM!

I receive a message that roverparts is closed, will not reopen until the 9th of May and will begin processing orders then.

Annoying! Who wants to wait two weeks for spare parts? I guess the extra cost of going to the dealership includes the convenience of picking it up over the counter right then and there.

This is the first time I've used their site and it's things like this that annoy me and will sway my decision as to whether I ever use them again.

there there Sully !!! kinda agree.

I borrowed a chainsaw today and spent 1 1/2 hrs "fixing" the dam thing before I ran out of light, that was annoying too. My new runners are crap, I thought I'd save a few bucks but they have no reflex in the heel. I lost my new mobile phone yesterday when I left in on the rear bumper and drove off to the tip with the trailer, GONE! Now I only have 1 beer in the fridge.

Don't blame Roverparts. It says they'll be closed in big letters on their homepage.

It's probably a small business and he's taken holidays which cut across Easter.

I think you may be close to the truth(20/Apr->9/May).
It is a husband and wife team, and we all need holidays at some stage
We all know how streesfull owning Land Rovers are, imagine suppling parts
Having said that I use them reguarly and have not had a problim with their service
    Cheers, Kyle

Funny how in this day and age, we expect everyone to be reachable 24/7.
Many friends are real estate agents and people do expect them to be available all the time. The get calls at 11.00pm because someone found something late one night.
Its ridiculas, people need time out and if it means shut the shop for 2 weeks well thats what it will take.

Annoying sure! but reasonable for sure.

while it is annoying, you could have called them to confirm the order, before paying for it

I see only one issue in this rant. Can you pick it? Clue, has nothing to do with saws, runners, phones.

Nope. I'm a wine drinker so there are no issues mentioned.
