Thread: 4 amigos: 17-04 pump failure 2 - not running when actuated

Hi All,

Has anyone seen this:

4 amigos:

17-04 pump failure 2 - not running when actuated

That is the code I have just cleared from a mates car. I reset the codes, and they stayed off for a few minutes, then reappeared.

I reset them again but it had already logged the above fault 254 times.

A quick search of google doesn't yeild much, the only reference was to a Defender td5 as opposed to a D2, and the issue was traced to a broken wire on a relay under the drivers seat.

I believe the ecu for the SLABS is inside the passenger front wing. I guess I need to start there and go through the wiring.

Does anyone have a wiring dagram for a 2003 d2 td5 - it doesnt seem to be in the manual. the braks system control diagram isnt that helpful.
