    EGT Spike !

Hi all . Well the d2 has been running sweet as usual but yesterday i was on a long drive from perth to hopetoun and the ems started beeping out of the blue saying high egt. It was cool outside and i was cruising on about 105kph the egt was averaging 350-380on the flat and up the slight hills getting up to 450. Then after getting to the top of a slight hill the egt alarm went off , it was up to 790. This seemed really strange . the only other time it has got to 750 was overtaking a truck on a stinking hot day towing a 3 tonn boat . Can any one shed some light on what could have caused this ? Cheers , Bill

Somewhere or another you are running out of air. Check for collapsing or split air hoses, or the wastegate is stuck. A boost gauge would have indicated a low figure.
