bumper lights D2a on D2 idea....
Here's something for you all to ponder....
Obviously there is a difference between the D2 and D2a rear bumper lights in that the D2 has a indicator/fog light combo and the D2a has a reverse light/fog light combo.
D2

D2a

Yesterday morning I was driving behing my missus, who was in the D2 and I noticed that the rear left indicator/fog light combo was looking darker than the right, probably due to exhaust soot entering into the light. It got me to thinking that I should probably replace it.
The question I have is, has anyone out there ever used the D2a combo on a D2 and simply used the orange indicator bulbs instead of the D2 combo and clear bulbs?
Can it be done or is there some different wiring in the D2a assembly?
I reckon it would look neat with a clear lense and a red lense on both the bumper and body lights.

Have you checked if your current bumper lights are both genuine or not? I had one of mine replaced by panel beaters and it is an aftermarket item and it is brighter than the original. There is a noticeable colour/brightness difference between aftermarket on LH side and genuine on RH side.

I haven't checked. Good tip though
Either way, I've seen other D2's driving around with the indicator lenses as bright ad my right hand lense, so there's something wrong with it.
It's purely a cosmetic thing, but it will big me now I know it's there.
