Starter Motor Question
I took my Starter motor off today and replaced the contacts job was easier than I expected as the "difficult" nut at the top was missing, so will have to replace this, but no rush as it has done 1000's of km's in this condition anyway.
There are two drain plugs on the starter with hoses and valves, one of these hoses was so badly torn and damaged that it came off.
Do I need to replace it?
Can I just seal it up with Silastic?
If I need to replace it is this something that I can buy new or do I need to go on the scrounge?

Hmm, all that effort to water proof the starter, yet fuel from the fuel block drips onto it and kills it.
