    Doors, Tailgate and seat belt warnings

    Does a D2 99 model have door opening warning light or chime something?
    My seat belt warning lamp check comes on for a second but does not stay on regardless of wearing the belt or not.
    Surely a rear tailgate door open warning would be illuminated as normal with any car this vintage?
    The interior light works if you open the door but no warning.

    Sounds like it is the same as our 99 Disco

    No dash light or chime, the interior light does stay on if a door is open though.
    Our seat belt does the same as yours too.

    04 Disco ... x 3

    ... cept my interior light/s time out after about 7-8mins if a door is left open ...

    The non extinguishing interior light/s ARE your "door open" alarm !

    My interior light times out too
    I just don't drive for 7-8mins with it on

    I dont recall owning a car for nearly 20 years that hasnt had these features.
    Sometimes my interior lights dont work from the key or doors but do work manually go figure!

    If the interior lights have timed out the reset feature is to turn the ignition on.
    This gives you the abbility to open and close the doors with out the light continualy coming on.
    Handy if trying to stop light seeking bugs out of the Disco at night.

    Kyle, are they supposed to be the same D1. If so mate had problem with his D1. No chimes.

    I don't think they are the same but I guees I am about to be proven right or wrong

    Any one know if Disco 1's have seat belt chimes???
