    hmm, lost my post.
i picked up a new batt from westpac, but went a slight different route with part numbers.
250-0480 is roughly the same size as the 115-2422 but is a slightly higher AH rating and reserce capacity, but a slightly lower CCA and is cheaper
also has an extra set of screw terminals as it is a dual deep cycle start battery.
"SDT - Dual, Top mounted Terminals - Stud
and SAE Post. Marine Deep Cycle / Starting Battery"
was about $30 cheaper than the other cat battery listed here. and suits my needs a little better with my fridge and inverter running from car .

just to add, picked up from westrac parramatta to a new battery p/n 175-4390 and post set p/n 4c-5637, total price $167.61

the battery is 1000cca and shows up how small the one that was in there, snug fit and the battery cover just fits, kind of!

just thought might be handy for others.

Yorkie, would you be able to post a photo of this battery fitted in the D2 battery box?

    Thanks

Thanks Yorkie, did you have to stretch the negative cable very far?
