    15" Wheel options

I've recently picked up some 35"x12.5" tyres and am now on the hunt for some 15" rims to fit them to. Not sure if they'll fit but should be ok... 3.5" spring lift and a big camel (and will do 2" body lift soonish) so worth a shot.

Will wheels from a 5x120 Chevy or Commodore fit?
    Would they be strong enough?
Would the thread holes be big enough?

Sorry if its been asked previously, I spent a half hour searching and couldn't find anything similar in prior threads.

    Can't fit 15" rims to a D2.

I believe you can fit them if you take the backing plates off but have very limited space.

Some guys in the US run 15's, also check lucky8, I think they may list 15's for D2's on their site.

However, you will probably find it is illegal to go smaller than the lowest rim optioned on the car. Not sure on this but a thought all the same.

Isn't it the offset you have to change??

    In regards to brake clearance?

I am not too sure if the standard offset causes issues, I would not think so as the rim is always going to be the same distance from the calliper no matter what offset you use.

I do know that the brake backing plates need removal or modification though.

Yeah looking at it removing the backing plate will give a little extra clearance, however the caliper is less that 1cm in from the edge of the stone guard.
    I think I'll just get 315's!
