    Troutbeck Recovery plates

    Hi everyone,

    As promised here are some pics of the recovery points I have installed. The photos arent the best but show the main points. These are manufactured by troutbeck services (google him) and I installed them along with my ARB Bull bar on the weekend. They are just as tough if not tougher than any other recovery plates Ive seen around and this along with the price, I'd really recommend him to deal with.

    PS: you might have to turn your computer screen sideways to see them properly.

    I got mine in August last year and all was good then. He does spend time away on jobs etc so some times it can take a while to reply to messages as far as I could determine.

    My understanding of this issue is that its not sufficient to have the recovery brackets themselves to be strong enough, nor also fitting high tensile bolts, but you have to be careful of where and how you connect to the frame. Something to do with shear stress and bearing load I believe. I was advised of the need to reinforce the frame where the recovery bracket is fitted.
