I recently fitted the TD5 Alive boost box to both the D2 in our driveway.
What I found interesting is that on both vehicles, as you increased the actual boost on the gauge, the boost box caused the nanocom to read a lower MAP.
e.g shortening the rod as per the Alive tuning instructions 5 to 7mm without the boost box fitted caused the ECU to fault and display on the Nano 1.42 bar. 20.6 psi (21 psi on the gauge teed from the modulator)
With boost box fitted the Nano displayed 0.95 bar. 13.7 psi
Shortening the rod further achieved, a maximum boost of 25 PSI on the gauge and 0.88 on the Nano. 12.7PSI
As an aside, I'm pretty happy that I only seem to be getting an average actual pressure drop of around 0.5 PSI.across the intercooler.
I assumed the boost box would cause the Nanocom to read a progressive increase in line with increased boost, despite the modified output signal. Yet in my case it reads less.
cheers

That's exactly what I'm curious about.
Have heard the same thing before.
Not sure if it's a good thing as the ECU AFAIK looks at boost to calculate fueling.
