Thread: Traxide Headlight and Driving Light upgrade kit

Hi all,

I have just completed installing a Traxide Headlight and Driving Light upgrade kit into my 2000 Discovery 5 Diesel TD5. (Thanks to drivesafe for the excellent kit and instructions.)

I have decided not to use the supplied toggle switch, and instead use a latching cruise control switch.(Should look better)

I have checked this forum and the internet and cannot find anything regarding a cruise control switch with the Traxide setup for a Disco.

The only information I can find refers to using the front fog lamp switch in a Defender (thanks willie, GraigMarlow and one iota).

Are the internals the same for both switches. If so, I can use the wiring diagram supplied
by willie. If not would someone be able to guide me through the wiring.

Thanks for the quick reply. Coudn't answer last night. ept getting messge that server was being upgraded.

Checked out the web site you suggested, but none the wiser. Being an electrical novice I can,t reconcile the use of a standard relay and the traxide relays.

However, revisted post by willie (this site) Fitting the Traxide Lighting Upgrade and Driving Light Kit to a 2007+and it showed me a wiring diagram using the front fog light switch and traxide upgrade kit. I just changed over the latch part of the switch from the cruise control switch to the front fog light switch and now have the setup I want.
