Try repeatedly pressing on the eject button and using your fingernail, wait work on landie = no nails. You should see the edge of the disc in the slot, you need to push/lift up on that edge you can see and it should come out.

Definately have no fingernails of a substantial length (it always amuses me about the female types who have their polished looong (false french manicured) nails, makes me wonder if any of them get their hands dirty... or is that just me...

Hi Clubagreenie... when the CD was in there... it use to spin and nothing would come of it when I pressed the eject button... now I don't even get a response from the eject button!!... SO I think it's time to replace the entire unit.... which brings me onto my title heading !!!

Can someone out there PLEASE confirm for me whether the existing LR standard unit is a 1DIN or a 2DIN (series 2 2000 model folks). I'm of the opinion it's a 1DIN and my husband is of the opinion it's a 2DIN.

(hubby n I have a wager going and I want to win!)

    lol

    Thanks,
    Lp

    well it seems that today-
    You're a winner!

its a single din with a surround,,
very common, it uses a standard iso plug, simple to de-install reinstall,
there are small clips either side of the unit to undo,, you need to slide something thin in to unlock the tabs, once you see it out you'll understand,,
LOTS of posts on here about stereo removals.

The only hard part is deciding what you need the new unit to do,,
    MP3s? bluetooth? front USB? iPod?

let us know what you decide on--

    Single DIN

Aerpro products available at repco etc will adapt the ISO plugs in the D2 to whatever brand you replace with. Hardest part is stuffing all the wiring back in.
