A cheap after-market fuel pump died after about a year so this time i got the VDO brand one. installed it this morning, did the proper bleeding by making the engine light flash and all and everything was perfect..and quite

A few hours later as im pulling into my driveway a can hear the pump screaming, i thought wtf?? i was a little low on diesel so i went to the servo and half filled it, came back still really loud.

turned it off, did the bleeding again. didnt come good. A loud squeeling and it sounds like theres air in there too.. ANY ideas???

I've met a couple of loud pumps on petrol Disco's, not sure what the go is with the diesel. They can get loud when they hit full pressure and the internal relief valve opens. Blocked return pipe?
