There should be a standard plug further down the loom---
Hi
Well, I have secured a CD player from a S 2 Disco (for my S 2 Disco).
There is so it seems a different cable connection to the back of the CD player.
I am seeking wisdom about getting the thing installed!! I don't have any tapes lol - but .... loads of CDs!! I know there are issues of PIN etc, etc, etc. but .......
Regards
Ray

it could depend on the make of CD player too.
I just replaced my stereo in the Discovery (with a JVC). The plugs on the loom in the care did not fit, but adaptor plugs are readily available from car sound shops. mine cost $25.
The plugs slightly down the factory loom are STD ISO...
Aerpro makes adapter leads to suit almost all aftermarket options![]()
You can get them from autobarn... most of our stores will fit for 88 bucks this also comes with a lifetime garantee on the install so if it plays up they will check it out for u at no charge
Thanks, Guys - brilliant!!! Now, just to check nearest AutoBarn!!

.... none in WA?? Is AutoBarn known by a different name in WA??
None I know of here.
Get on ebay and have a look. $88 is money for jam when installing cd player's. I'd do it for $50...
Pull your tape deck out and if there is another plug further down the loom then this should plug into the cd player.
Although personally I reckon you're better off throwing the standard cd player in the same bin as the tape player and buying an after market one. Much better feature's and sound quality.

And if you can't find them at Supercheap - most of the decent car audio shops also do them. I have bought adaptors from Sony to Landrover at Audiocom in Kalgoorlie, and they had a range of other adaptors.
Cheers .........
