    EGR Modulator Removal

    Hi,

Having removed the EGR Valve, is there any reason that I cannot completely remove the EGR Modulator and all EGR Vacuum Tubing and apply a rubber blanking plug to the T-piece in the Brake-Servo tubing to maintain the integrity of the braking system?

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    David

No, You can remove it all. It wont make any difference.

Just make sure you blank it well.

Thanks. I couldn't see a reason not to, but all the instructions that come with the kits/in the forums/websites seem to say different things about whether you should/shouldn't unplug the modulator and about plugging different vacuum tubes etc. Seems to me the easiest and least confusing is to just blank the T-piece!

When I did my EGR, I removed everything, including the modulator. It is still floating around my shed somewhere.

Just blank off the t-piece, and pull all the other stuff out. It wont be doing anything now anyway, so there is no need for it.
