theres a few around that make them like dynamic and procomp. the PCD is 5x120 same as a commodore
Can anyone recommend a simple 16 inch steel wheel for a D2?
Changing tyres manually has always been a double hernia and rupture exercise for me. The professionals tell me that RR and Disco alloys are renowned for their safty lip making it hard to break beads and even harder to reseat. They are also pretty weighty for alloys. Seems to me that if I could get a set of sunraysia type steel wheels then tyre changing would be a lot easier, without much weight penalty. By the way, what is the PCD on the D2? And yes, I do know about quickstart and a lighter, tyre pliers, plugs, high lift jacks and driving over the wheel.

The spare wheel on early P38A were steel (mine is). Also some D2 models came with steel rims.
You won't break the bead on a P38A or D2 alloy rim by using a hi-lift or driving over the tyre.

As Ron says,, the early poverty paks had steel wheels
if you buy aftermarket,, ensure they will carry the weight---

Phone around some wreckers or tire shops
when I got my first Disco 2a I picked up 5 rims for $50 each
Triumph spares in SA, I got a 2nd spare a few months for $125 each

at the Adelaide 4wd show last weekend there were some dark grey powdercoated steel wheels that looked excellent. I think they were dynamics and are only a new release. The price starts from $85 each. I have a Niagra Grey D2 and I think they would suit it perfectly as the colour was virtually the same.

Eastern Wheel Works can machine the safety lip a little to make life easier.
