    Whistling Landrover

    Hi,

    My 2002 Disco2 TD5 auto has developed a whistling noise under acceleration. Doesn't seem to happen when everything cold after startup, but after a brief warm up period. Only under acceleration, lift the right foot and it stops immediately.

    Performance not affected.

    Any ideas?

    Had a similar issue mine was a leaky exhaust manifold.

    just done mine. 2 broken studs. mainifold warped by about 2mm. make sure you replace all the studs and straighten the manifold.

    Ye my TD5 is doing the exact same thing at the moment...it was annoying on the weekend but now seems to be very quiet!???

    If we need to fit a new manifold in the workshop, we have it machined to stop it warping again in the future.
