Goodyear Duratrac - any thoughts?

+1 for the Duratrac. I put 225/75s onto my D2 about 1000kms ago. So far I'm impressed. When aired down to 20 PSI they feel very stable, unlike a few other tyres I've driven on with 20 PSI (Maxxis Bravo 751, Dunlop RoadGripper). Maybe it's the stronger sidewall flexing less?

I paid $305 each from my local fitter in Murgon.

They are no noisier than the Bravo 751s they replaced. I'd bet that they will chew a little more fuel than a HT but it'd be a small difference I'd say.

I'll take a photo after I've washed the vehicle tomorrow so people can see how they look on a stock (250 000kms/original springs and shocks) D2.

Bringing an old thread back to life. I am going to the Cape next year. OTT. Looking at moving from my Maxxis 751 to Duratracs. I drove a Colorado the other day for 10 hours towing a van - the Duratracs were excellent on that.

Any updated reports from owners?

I am likely to get 245/75/16 size again to avoid tram lining.

Great tyres. 50000 kms out of my set with about 40% left

Many thanks mate. So handling is good? No sidewall squirm (there was none on the Coly I drove - 32 inch tyres).

Yeah, ive got 32's and they are a great tyre. In fact they've surprised the hell out of me. Side wall is extremely strong, good in the wet and good off road. I cant really rate them in mud as i hate mud and try to avoid it (i cant stand the hours of cleaning after)....hope that helps

I have Duratracs on mine. 265/75/16. 2 inch lift
