Thread: loud knocking from the rear and Td5 missing..

Guys,

Had my Td5 for just over a year now but just recently it has developed a loud knocking sound that sounds like it comes from rear just when i begin to brake or shift the momentum in the car.....

Also it feels as though the engine is missing on occasions and wanted some thoughts to assist me when I take it to blokes down the road to plug it in and have a look?

As said above. There is a poly. bush kit available for the Watts linkage now which should last longer than standard. But check all the other damper/trailing arm/etc bushes.

Pull the plug off the ECU and look for signs of oil. If so, you need a new loom. We supply a modified loom which should stop future problems.
