Delay in power on startup - D2
Hi all,
Sorry if this has been covered before, I'm on my phone and searching is a pain in the .... on such a small screen
When I start my TD5 02 D2 there a period of perhaps 20 seconds where it feels like it's in limp mode - then bam it comes alive.
I initially thought this was related to my faulty and disconnected MAF sensor, but I've recently replaced it with a Britpart MAF from Paddocks and the pause is still there on startup. The MAF appears to work, as when I installed it I suddenly suffered overboost. Tweaked the long thing on the whatsit and it was all good.
Any thoughts? Is this normal and I just never noticed?
Cheers
Wil

My TD5 did that for a while - the problem was solved by fitting a new MAF. Maybe the new one you have fitted is faulty - do you have a Nanocom or similar to check out the air flow readings?
For more clues see JC's MAF figures at http://www.aulro.com/afvb/showthread...ferrerid=15904
