Will fit without issues. will bring speedo slightly closer to correct (from under). Whats Tempes price? Check the dates on the tyres though, they often have stuff thats really old. Don't take anything thats more than 4-6 months old.
I have 235/70R16 Cooper ATRs on my D2 at the moment and the rubber has gone rather hard making them poor in the wet. I am thinking of replacing them with BFG All Terrains, but a call to Tempe Tyres and they have no 235s in stock, but they do have 245s on special.
Will the 245s go on the rims happily?
Will it upset the gearing?
I use the D2 mainly for on road towing, some off road, but not too serious ( I have a Defender is for serious off road).

If it's a 245/70 you're going 1/2" bigger ... +1.9%
Shouldn't be a problem.

I have had both 235 & 245 in BFG A/T's,found my speedo was spot on with 235,read marginally different than GPS with 245's.
BFG's also go hard over time, mine took about 6yrs,but they had done 80k,so still got a good run out of them, also never ever had a puncture, done some remote trips, two Cape trips, deserts, etc.
they were also badly cracked between the lugs.
Didn't notice any difference in vehicle handling etc,but you do notice the difference in looks.
I have 245/70/16 BFG AT's on my D2. The speedo is 5km/h under actual speed. Drives fine. The car looks slightly beefier with the wider rubber.
got 245/75 KM2s after 235/70s BFGs on D2a. Some blunting of the thrust forward but the rolling advantage offroad is awesome. BTW more diameter means longer life eh. I tried to get 245/75 BFG ATs but told N/A. Guess you are talking about 245/70s?

I have 245 BFG A/T's on my D2. The difference in speed is not at all noticeable. It would be a max of about 1 km/h.
For that price, i would definitely go to the 245s. I was recommended them as they are a more common tyre. I noticed no loss of power or anything. Very happy with them
I had worn out 235 coopers atr
got new bridgstone atr 245 LT
I noticed around 3km difference at 100k on the speedo.
ALso noticed it did make difference to gearing/responsiveness.
with the v8
But they do make it look better with the slightly wider rubber.
