    TD5 Stuttering after Puddles

If driving on the motorway and I go through a heavy puddle on the left hand side that sprays up quite high, my car sometimes stutters - if it was an old school petrol driven engine, I would describe it as damp plug leads or moisture in the distributor.

    I dont have a snorkel.

After 4-5 minutes it goes away, and is also only noticeable at lower revs.

    Any ideas?

BTW it is a 99 TD5, well maintained (thanks to tips and guidance form the forum), it has diff breathers etc etc (not that that would be the problem but thought I would mention it)
