    Thermo Fan latched

    Hi, I have just purchased my 2004 Classic manual TD5.
    The engine was rebuilt by the original owner, 15000klms ago.
    (injector overfueled cyl No one, head cracked)
    The thermo fan is latched on so I have temporarily removed relay 4.
    I am not sure if I need to resett the ECU, or can sort the issue externally.
    The relay contacts are open with power down. The fan comes on when the engine is started and running.
    I am looking in to a Hawkeye or Nanocom. Can I solve this issue with these tools?
    This could be a separate post, but which of these tools is the best one !!!

    Nanocom will clear the code causing it, I beleive if the motor has got hot or has lost contact with the temp sender it goes into failsafe and runs the fan permanently.
