Filter warning light
Hi all
Just spent the day servicing the Td5 2002 Discovery, all went well until I did the fuel filter. Removed the old filter and cleaned the sensor on the bottom of it, put it back togeather and refitted. Primed the filter as per normal.
Started the engine everything works fine except the water in fuel light stays on all the time? Double checked no water and plugged in the right way. cleaned all the connections pulled it all apart cleaned the sensor again, light on dash still on?
Was working fine prior to the filter change and there was no water in the old filter.
Might be coincedence and it just died at that moment?
Is there any way to test it? Or do I just give up and remove the plug.
I have noticed the light coming on briefly a few times in the past month.

Bloody thing suddenly started workink as it should
After replacing the worn out fuel lines and putting everything back to geather (See leaking fuel line post). The light on the dash has now gone out. It comes on like it should and then turns off when the check is finished.
It was just being a pain so will see what happens. I think if it comes back I will just remove the sensor and just drain a bit from the filter once a week. So far never had any water. Usuallt use BP as I was told they spend the most on maintaining pumps tanks etc.
