Banished the Amigoes !

Well done for finding a broken wire. It is alarming though that this occurred, I mean, if you cannot trust a WIRE, what about the rest of our complex vehicles?

I did option B on the modulator and Amigoes no more.

I'd considered the broken wire possibility early on, but the nanocom kept showing the faults the were moving .... FrLH for a while, then it moved to the BkRH, then it moved to the FrRH .... but the squeal was always present ... the fact that the fault kept moving led me to believe that it wasn't sensor/s or cabling ...

Good on you for tracing the broken wire fault!

I used a product called Sil-Glyde (i think). A small tube of what looked like heavy grease ... when I did the daughters corolla back pads they came with a little sachet of blue resin, that you kneaded for a while and then applied .... and it partially set and went sort of semi-hard and tacky ... no squeal there either.

I'm still at a loss as to why the issues are always with the front sensors and never the rears which are 3 times the length away.....

... but seriously, maybe it has something to do with the fact that the front sensor wires not only move up and down with the axle travel, but also swing left and right with the wheels as your are steering ...

... the rear only travels up & down ... ?

How's that for a theory ? :p
