    Coolant leak on 03 d2a

Today I noticed a puddle of coolant under my disco. After popping the bonnet I found out that a part of the pipe that comes out from under the coolant bottle is rubbed off a bit and is leaking pretty badly.

    Here's the pics:

Is this a common leak? What's the part number for the pipe?

Which one on this diagram is the pipe that's leaking:

Looks like it's EGR cooler connecting hose. I ordered a replacement hose, but I have to go away tomorrow and I wont have time to fix it by friday. I guess egr is not that important and a small coolant leak shouldnt be a massive issue till then

I'd even say that the little plastic extension on the coolant tank has developed a crack. If that is so, you'll need a new tank. Hopefully though, it will be that black plastic hose.

Question Small decrease in coolant level

I'm noticing a drop in coolant level ijn the holding tank..not much, maybe a litre of coolant replaced in a month..however the level never used to change at all ...had my 2a for 2 + years, and the loss has started over this summer..is it more likely the hotter external temps in QLD (as opposed to Vic) or something more sinister..I cannot find any visible leaks/pooling.

Spend the time and the money and replace all the hoses. Replace the hose clamps with screw ones as well to make it easier to replace in the future....

And install a coolant level detector.

The spring hose clips work perfectly well if you invest $20 or so in the locking pliers designed to work with them. Trying to install spring hose clips with standard pliers is an object lesson in pure frustration.

If you have time and the parts numbers also look OS.

There are plenty of sites but below is one you can reference.
