I'd be interested, if you could put them up that would be great. Only a matter of time for mine and if I can do something before hand then all the better.I still have the pics of your repair if anyone is interested
Cheers.

Thanks all
I initially cleaned out the oil at the ECU (which wasn't much). Given that the injector harness is only 25000km old I am now suspecting that the oil that has come from the engine loom is a result of the old injector loom leaking. The injector loom was replaced 2000km prior to me buying the car at 70000km.
I have inspected the connector at the ECU twice since my initial post with no further oil show. If no further oil appears I will leave the injector loom in place for now.
I plan to do my injector seals at 120000km as they failed at 72000km last time. I will do my in injector harness at the same time as a bit of preventative maintenance. I intend to do a few modifications on the new harness as some of you have suggested.
Again thanks for your posts.

Sump full of diesel. Once the injector seals started to leak the oil level rose very rapidly. Has not reoccurred since I have replaced them about 27000km ago.Originally Posted by Franz
I have always wondered if it is possible for diesel to be pushed into the harness from the injector itself, and therefore begining the capillary action through the harness. Diesel is much thinner than oil and would travel easily through the wiring.
My oil level still rises about 5-10mm over a 10000km period. So I do wonder if it could be coming from the injector connector itself, as the seals generally leak very fast when they go.
Hi Franz,
A couple of years back I had a problem with the Td5 missing and stopping. After fixing the fuel pump it still continued and they did the injector seals and no more problems. I didn't check the oil level though so can't comment on that.
cheers

Is there a company that supplies an injector loom with a fix?

MR Automotive, Redcliffe , Brisbane. Had mine done 25/06/2010, before I purchased RAVE, they recommended I check the plug at the ECU, as there would be residual oil working its way out of the harness, have done, there was for a short period, no oil now, so far not a problem. Have done not quite 30,000 km's.since, Bob

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
Coopers in Sydney reckon it's a 70,000km cycle between changing looms.
I seem to have a similar problem and would like to try and fix myself this weekend?
What is RAVE (I assume somekind of manual/DVD) Where do you purchase it from?
Cheers
