    Post D2 Front Nudge Bar

    Hi all,

    I've had a fairly young kid crash into the front of my 2000 TD5 Disco. To cut a long story short, his fault & it's an insurance claim. Nothing major just scrapes on the plastic bumper bar and nudge bar but all has to be replaced. Taken it to my local smash repairs place to get a quote. Both the panel beater and myself couldn't find the part number located anywhere on the nudge bar.

    Does anyone know what the model number or part number of this is? I've attached some pics. I hope they work and display correctly to help.

    Once I've got the part number I'll then give it to the panel beater and get a quote drawn up. Having said that, I'll be pulling a few strings and rather than replacing with the same nudge bar I will be putting an ARB Sahara bar on the front. See link below

    Hi Evo Can you pls keep us posted on whether the ARB Sahara bar can be fitted to 1999 - 2003 D2? Mine is a Dec 2001 D2 and I was told the Sahara bar could only be fitted to the D2a.Can anyone help with this, is it the case and if so why?

    Ollie, Will keep you posted. I have trawled through these forums in regards to the ARB sahara fitting on a 1999-2002 Discovery. What I have found from others doing this is the main difference is the front of the 03/04. The grille doesn't extend below the bottom level of the headlamps. The earlier D2's ('99-'02) had the grille extended below that bottom headlamp line and must have a bumper that has a cutout to fit. Swapping in a grille from an 03/04 would seem easy & the logical solution but the body coloured trim under the headlamps on the earlier D2's is held in place (partially) by the grille. The 03/04 has that part attached to the headlamp.

    Having said that have a look at the 2 forum threads below. It seems it fit with a few trimming mods.

    Can you let me know your quoted price and wait time of the ARB sahara bar please? I'm seriously toying with the idea for our road trip up north this winter. Could bargain for two....
