Ages ago (not on this forum) someone checked out all of the aftermarket filters and compared them to the geniune. Turned out the genuine hasa greater surface area than any of the aftermarkets (well, at least back then).

I've always bought genuine for all of the filters. Especially also for the centrifuge where I have heard of aftermarket ones not fitting properly and so not spinning up (Mann & Hummel are the original equipment manufacturer here, so would be the exception) Likewise there is variability in the fineness in the full flow oil filters etc. So for this ducky... I use Land Rover for the lot and just hope its not a false economy in the long run.
    Cheers

    Definitely Landrover filters for centrifugal

I only use LR for the centrifugal (advice from this forum), and good quality (either LR or coopers etc) for the rest. BTW, when I went to price them, Mann Hummel were about the same price as LR.
