Might be worth a drive to a radiator shop to get the system preshure tested if you can't find the source.
Also just read this thread...TD5 Leaking coolant plug, one more thing to look at.
The pictures indicate you are using green coloured coolant - are you sure it's the recommended OAT type? I've heard of leaks being caused by using incompatible colloant additive and normally it's green.

Ok guys I have found the leak and I am very confused and I really hope someone can give me some info on this. I took off the heat shield for the turbo and the pipe was dry as a bone. I was doing some other work on the car when I noticed the coolant dripping. In the photos you will notice a small hole where coolant is leaking. The other (new) pipe is the power steering one as I replaced it not too long ago.
I was thinking what can I do? the hole must be there for a reason?? What would happen if I plugged it?

That would be an awesome thing if that were my problem. do you know the recommended type? I only used this because 9 months ago or so I had a broken pipe and lost all coolant and just bought a bottle from super cheap auto that said suitable for 4WD. does it have to do with the thickness or what, sounds weird how one type would leak and another wouldnt.
The hole is intended as an indicator that the seals/bearings in your water pump are stuffed. The fix is replacing your water pump.
It's worth pulling off the mounting bracket and replacing the o-ring mentioned earlier in the thread. If you remove the bracket the water pump can be replaced without touching the turbo or centrifugal filter drain. The trade off is you have to remove the fan and unbolt air-con, pas and ace pumps.

also why is the AB one so different to the ebay's?? the two do not look the same but all listings say they are for D2's??
This is the block side of the water pump bracket showing the aftermath of a leaking o-ring:
The o-ring is under $10.00 and straightforward to change once you have the bracket off.
The image on the US rover parts site is not of the TD5 water pump.
The correct part number for the water pump is PEM500040
The bracket o-ring/seal is ERR6711
The advice I had when I did my pump last year was: Go with the original part (although the QH is apparently a good quality part). Avoid the no-name pumps.
The water pump is a critical part of the cooling system and it's not worth skimping.

You need to get the pink OAT coolant.
Using the pink OAT wll not stop the leak but I am told that non OAT can cause all sorts of problems with your radiator and other bits of the coolant system.
So using the correct coolant mix will help prevent future problems rather than fix the current issue.
SuperCheap do stock the correct type.
