I think the SLS spacers are 55ea if you have a look

Hi all, after I deal with my coolant loss problems I plan on giving my Disco a lift. I have actually purchased a coil conversion kit from AB (minus the springs) but I have changed my mind as I have recently learnt that I can keep the air suspension and get a lift through the use of spacers.
Les Richmond has the White tiger spacers required for the job here: Discovery 2
The air suspension spacers are 55 pair, the spacer for the chassis and the crossmember are 50 pair, goodridge brake extensions 90 from ebay, ironman front coils 185, front and rear shockers 209 pair ($418 total), and steering dampner 115. The bump stops are 58 EACH. Ill buy them if required but www.discovery2.co.uk / 2" Suspension lift didnt install the bump stops in this awesome write up.
So what do you guys think of this set up and the need for bump stops which will add $240 onto the job bringing it to a total of about $1200 as compared to about $950 without.

Hi there, I did a lift similar to Discovery2.co.uk but had some had HD coils in front which already are giving lift. I put in 40mm sls spacers from britpart (ordered from lrdirect.com about $80). Terrafirma extended shocks are +2" but are 16mm longer at full compression to standard (which gives 66mm more at full extension). I have not extended bump stops but am being careful not to top the shocks out and will put these in sometime when I can find some reasonable prices. I find the axle does not reach the bump stop on full compression (cross axle), but also looks like it would not for standard either (I am running ACE so sway bars are not interfering). Crossmember, rear brake lines and abs extension all need doing.
If your shocks are extended travel shocks you shouldn't need to extend the bump stops.
If however the shocks are just longer In the body but don't have any extra travel than standard, you will need to extend the bump stops to stop the shocks from bottoming out.
I thought the extended bump stops were for the air springs from compressing too much, not so much for the shocks.

Hey guys, I got a quote from a place in Lilydale, Victoria and have decided to get them to do it. They quoted 966 for the front and rear prings, front shocks, rear shocks that are compatible/work well with the SLS, the spacers and the labour. I have also got them to put in a steering dampner. total of about 1100 for the job. I will let you know how they go, Rowan the LR guy there really knows his stuff so thats why Ive decided to take the drive. I don't even know what their shop is called :s, I just met them at the 4WD show in Wandin.
Thanks guys
Trevor, how did you go with this? , I'm interested in doing the same and the price you mentioned looks resaonable as I was quoted 1600 from another place in Thomastown.
G'day mate; it's a nice job and the car is noticeably smoother. You Definately notice the 2" lift when driving. I got the terrafirma dampner, king springs and super gaz shocks from britpart, I have heard they are budget shocks but they feel nice to me and I dont hear anything unusual when driving etc. in any case I have a warranty for I can't remember how long, with the installer. I do recommend this setup if your d2 is more personal use rather than 4wd as the airbags provide a much smoother ride and are better for towing; the SLS is obviously a liability however if you are in remote places. My brake lines and abs did not need to be extended; with the abs sensors they just relocated them 2" lower so as to account for when the SLS is activated. So all up 1100 with dampner, 970 without. I'm not complaining with that.
Thanks Trevor , appreciate the response.
