2" lift + sls + ace + 245/75R16 = no problems:)
Cruise control still works fine. I have a truespeed fitted to correct the speedo and as the tc lockup is linked to the speed the lockup works fine. In terms of gearing its still pretty good but its the maximum size you want to go before changing diff gears etc. In retrospect 245 75 would probably have been big enough as power is down a little. But you can live with it day to day no worries. I live in the hills so notice the power is down a little. Thats why I was thinking 245 75 might be better. I had 4 235 85 tyres from my defender though so I only had to buy one tyre more instead of 5.

Biggest you can fit is 245/76/16 or 265/70/16.
The 265s will rub on full lock, but that's your steering stops... no amount of lift will fix that! You could adjust your steering stops tho.
You could fit 265/75/16, but if you do any off road driving these will hit your guards under flex. You can fix this with a "camel cut", removing about 1.5" from the rear of the back guards. I used to have 265/75/16s and they fitted well when I just had camel cut and 2" lift.
Go any bigger and it's a lot of work!
255/70R16 rubbed inside on mine with 2" lift, ACE and SLS.
255/70R18 (32") rubber inside (rectified with TerraFirma hub adapters) and hit the top of the guard with the same other modifications.
Same wheels with the same modifications but not a 4" lift are perfect.
Require Truspeed to rectify the speedometer. Cruise control, ABS, traction control etc. all still function correctly. Personally, I much prefer the gearing, especially for highway use. I have a fair few performance modifications to compensate for the down low loss (and more on their way) - off the line mine still takes off quicker than a stock standard D2 and the gears hold for longer (to a higher speed).
Thats why the 235 85's are so good. No modifications are necessary and I personally like skinny tyres. I know its been debated but I personally like skinny tyres better off road, particularly in sand. They still handle pretty well on the black top too due to LT cobstruction having stiffer walls. I have maxxis 751 which only cost around $220 a tyre fitted and balanced. Hwy economy is great and they perform surprisingly well in the bush.
