Should be a D2a, you can tell from the lights
Hi all
Could someone please help.
I have bought a 05/2003 plated Discovery TD5 is this a D2 or a D2a ?
When did the D2a's start production ?
any comments welcome
Thanks in advance
Should be a D2a, you can tell from the lights
So all D2a's have the different head lights ?
Yeah the cars with the newer, all in one light with the 2 round lights, and the defender style blinkers and parking lights are D2a's (well they are D2a lights). But your car is a D2a judging by the year anyway unless it has a strange compliance. There are other differences like a black interior instead of grey etc. google a picture of a d2a should be fairly self explanatory, the D2a is the update.
VIN will tell us, just the first 10 digits will helpShould be a D2a though unless the 2003 date is first regoed in Aus, not the built date.

D2a has the fuel release flap button on the RHS of the instrument cluster, not on the dash button cluster where the Hazards & HDC buttons are.
Kev..

1 more question
I have a rave cd and it is different to some of the things I have on my car.
Is it because I have an older version of the cd ?
Yeah you need to get the latest rave cd. The older ones don't have revisions for d2a's.
