Thread: Rumbling thru car!

Success, I changed out the rubber coupling between rear tailshaft and the rear diff. I swapped it to a second hand one, but in much better condition than mine, and voila,...no rumble. Sweet!!

After removing rear tail shaft and prepping diff for Disco 1 rear shaft mod, i have found the front input/pinion bearing has failed. I was removing rear wheels so i could check hubs and spun the axle and noticed the input pinion shaft moving around like a c#@k in a sock!!!
Obviously once i removed the old tailshaft flange from the diff the shaft could move around as it like. I think the rumblng noise may have been found!!!
Best place to buy exchange diff in Oz?
Or get one from UK?
